PATTI DENUCCI

CEO & Chief Connector, DeNucci & Co. LLC

One of Patti's DeNucci's closest friends recently called her "a wonderful curator of people and ideas." Patti calls herself not only a writer, speaker, and workshop facilitator, but also the CEO and Chief Connector at DeNucci & Co. LLC, which she founded in 1989 in Austin, Texas.

Born and raised in a small mining town in Northern Minnesota, Patti learned many lessons about people and business while working in the family business, an auto dealership her grandfather founded in the 1930s. She studied Clothing, Textiles & Design at the University of Wisconsin and moved to Texas in 1981 to seek new opportunities - and to "thaw out."  Once settled in Austin, she enjoyed successful careers in marketing communications, consulting, and talent management.

In 2011, as her "empty nest project," Patti published The Intentional Networker: Attracting Powerful Relationships,  Referrals & Results in Business.  This field guide, written for anyone wanting to network better (rather than just more), swept the non-fiction category of the Indie Reader Discovery Awards and was chosen among thousands of entries as a Finalist in Foreword Review's Book of the Year competition. Patti's life has never been the same and she is working on another book about Conversation and Connection.

A natural and enthusiastic leader, Patti has served on several association boards and is currently finishing a three-year term on the Chapter Leadership Committee of the National Speakers Association. Here she has helped develop and deliver a new curriculum designed to train incoming NSA chapter presidents and board members.

When Patti isn't writing or on the road presenting, she enjoys all things fitness, spending time with her dogs, traveling, reading, watching the latest addictive TV series, and avoiding most forms of cooking and housework.
